Buffalo Steak Christmas Dinner

We found this grilling recipe at Bison Basics for our Buffalo Steaks but we made a few adjustments for the Santa Fe altitude and they turned out great. (6400 ft.)
Here are the adjustments for altitude:
Brushed 1 1/2″ thick Buffalo Steaks with olive oil on both sides.
Heated grill to 500 F
Brush the grill with olive oil
Seared steaks for 3 minutes on each side (grill closed)
Turned off one side of grill heat.
Cooked steaks on unlit side for 6 Minutes.
Turned over steak and lit grill under steaks to low heat. Cooked for 6 more minutes.
We cut in to check the steak and removed them from the grill.
Let the steaks rest for 10 minutes covered with foil.
Bon Apetite!
Z.
